At one point in my life I actually thought I wanted to be a journalist, am cringing for having such thoughts, right now I'd be greedy for story, waiting for the next story that is going to give me fame, story for self benefit and as I said more monetary pay without thinking how much am going to hurt people, stepping on peoples toes, fighting with the rival papers on who has the hottest story. All for what? an award, a gateway to mainstream media for more money and fame. Someone must have missed a vital information, fame fades away, ask Jeff Koinange.
You remember in history class learning about the migration of people, long distance traders, tribal migration all over Africa to their present destination. It is back, and it is not for trade. Someplace called is it Nyawera? the people have been killed, their livestock taken by cattle rustlers, their property burnt, now they were headed to Laikipia a thousand kilometers away. 500 of them and only 347 made it, the others have been admitted to Naivasha Hospital. This is a less important issue, it's not being talked about, did not even stop to look.
Well a link I got from S.W, thanks. The story below check LGBT- Month October 4, the guy who was beaten up coz of his sexual orientation. You remember in school when you were 8 years old you'd tell you friends, "wait, I'll call my father he is a policeman, he is going to shoot you." Now grown ass men are behaving like 8 year olds, when one of the guys were hitting Wanyama, he told him " Wait my brother is a rugby player he is going to beat the crap outta ya." You are a fucking coward, what are you, an eight year old? Act like a grown ass man.
“It was my very good friend that started to excite to action the others who were there. They started hitting me and saying they should call the brother who plays rugby - that he would deal with me properly; that he would hit me at the end of each day until I become normal. And that I should no longer live in the neighbourhood.
“As they hit me they shouted, "You can change, you can change." They were hitting me so I would change and would understand that I needed to be heterosexual. A crowd was being drawn in by the commotion and my good friend was telling them to hit me and beat me and not to listen to anyone who said otherwise.
We are not going to have gay marriage fixed in the constitution, the panel are afraid. They are afraid, they say majority of Kenyans are against homosexuality, they won't even deliberate.
A Reuters correspondent, Noor Ali, had called on the experts to leave out the gay rights issue from the new constitution. “Gay issues are not acceptable in our society and therefore the experts should not waste time on such unnatural acts. How can a Kenyan marry another man when there are many women out there looking for men to marry them?” he posed.

Hey! That's not even all, generations after wouldn't believe this was a struggle. It's so unbelievable
The similarities between Kenya and Jamaica are striking. Even more noteworthy, is this consideration of gay marriage amendments to our national constitutions.
People are so foolish. Even if buggery is decriminalized today, there still wont be enough of a supportive climate for anyone to consider clamouring for the right to marry. Politicians are allowing political developments in the US and other developed countries to influence their political agendas, and strategically so, in a bid to appeal to populist opinion and distract Kenyans and Jamaicans from what really matters in this time- rescuing our economies, and providing hope for out people. The drama never ends.
History will absolve us though. People will one day realize that we are human, and not freaks of nature lying on the fringes of society. I look forward to the day when we'll study this time in history and critique the ridiculousness of the oppressive reality.
